Movie buffs at the Latin American and Caribbean Film Festival in Helsinki, Finland, were shown how a devastating earthquake in Haiti affected the lives of thousands of people.
The film Chronicle of a Catastrophe Foretold, produced by Haitian film producer Arnold Antonin depicts the lives of Haitian people in the aftermath of the earthquake in January that lasted for about 35 seconds and killed 200,000 people, Xinhua reported.
The film shows the anguish caused by the 7.3-magnitude earthquake, which left thousands homeless in the impoverished country.
Life in Haiti is slowly returning to normal, thanks to international aid and resilience shown by the Haitians.
