Aishwarya back in the reckoning?

If there’s one actress who’s defied the belief that ‘once married, an actress goes out of business’, it is undoubtedly the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Despite being married in the Bachchan Khandaan for over three years now, Ash continues to be one of the most sort-after actresses.

Ash’s brand value hasn’t diminished even with the ‘Mrs’ tag attached to her. While she got paid a whooping six crores for Enthiran (making her the highest paid actress in India), she has been offered a huge three crores for an appearance not more than a minute at the 2010 Common Wealth Games closing ceremony.

When it comes to future film, Ash has Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replayy’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ to look forward to and is also rumoured to be approached by ‘Rock On’ director Abhishek Kapoor for a film based on author Chetan Bhagat’s ‘Three Mistakes of my life’.

Be it events, launches, brand endorsements - home or abroad, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan remains to be a favourite to garner star mileage. We hope with her success streak, Aishwarya changes the age old mind-set that an actress can’t be both married and successful at the same time!
