Katy Perry recently taped a segment for Sesame Street only to later have it rejected. The parents of toddlers and young children all over the United States banned together and got the singer’s guest appearnce on the show booted.
After the video showed up on Youtube, parents begin commenting on Perry’s costume. For many moms, it was a bit too much or actually two little. The top of her dress was a bit too revealing the neckline embarassingly plunging.
One person wrote “ “they’re gonna have to rename it cleavage avenue.” After thousands of comments and numerous complaints, Sesame Street decided to can the seg, emt. It wasn’t supposed to air until December 31st, so there is time to re-shoot the segment if both parties to desire to.
Hopefully, this time around, Sesame Street will pick more appropriate apparel. It doesn’t take much to dress up a guest on a children’s show in a t-shirt and jeans. Cover up! There is absolutley no need to wear a cleaving baring, mini dress on a television show aimed at toddlers. No reason at all!
It looks like it was a case of poor decision making all the way around. Hopefully, everyone will get it right next time.
