Drew Barrymore – ABC's Charlie's Angels reboot

Entertainment Weekly confirms that Siega has completed the deal to direct the pilot, but has not included information on whether he will direct subsequent episodes of the show. Charlie's Angels will bring back Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen as executive producers, as they were on both the 2000 and 2003 movie versions.

From Sony Pictures TV and Drew Barrymore's Flower Films, the new ABC pilot reboot of the classic 1976 'Jiggle TV' series "Charlie's Angels", created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, has now cast their 3 'sxy sleuth' leads : Annie Ilonzeh ("General Hospital"); Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights"); Rachael Taylor ("Transformers").

ABC's Charlie's Angels reboot: Unlike the original 1970s series, where the team of private investigators were disgruntled graduates of the police academy, the update currently has the crime-fighters as a trio of not-so-angelic criminals. in the pilot, Charlie brings them together and offers an opportunity to redeem themselves — by working for him, of course.'

Script is written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar ("Smallville"), who also executive produce along with Nancy Juvonen and original "Charlie's Angels" TV producer Leonard Goldberg. the pilot will be directed by Marcos Siega ("The Vampire Diaries").

The premise of the show will remain the same as the original series, with three women who work as private investigators for a mysterious, unseen man named 'Charlie Townsend' (Robert Wagner), who only communicates with them through a speaker box.

I want a calming romance

Drew Barrymore has confessed that she now craves "easy" and "calming" relationships.

The 35-year-old actress, who is rumoured to be dating Going The Distance co-star Justin Long, told Bang Showbiz that she no longer desires romances that require a lot of effort.

"When you're young you just want to be in love," she explained. "I call it crazy love, because you just want to have fun and you're not thinking about the future or kids. You just want to have a good time with that person.

"Then, as you get older, even children aside, you just think, 'God, I actually like when it's easy, and I want these attributes from this person. I need these kinds of systems in place to feel calm'."

The Whip It director also revealed that she can't stand partners that don't live up to their promises.

"[I go for] someone who, when they say they are going to do something, does it. I really, really am attracted to any person, personally or professionally, who keeps their word."

Last month, Barrymore claimed to have lost count of the number of times she has been hurt by men.
