Prince William has been announced as the head of a new initiative to bring the FIFA World Cup to England in 2018.
The British royal's office revealed on Wednesday that William - as head of the Football Association - will join an all-star group including David Beckham and Prime Minister David Cameron to meet with FIFA officials and convince them of the country's desire to host the event.
Board member Sebastian Coe said that the group must "charm" officials ahead of the December 2 vote in Zurich.
"You have to focus absolutely on the job at hand. [Outside] noises are not what is going to get you across the line. They're not going to stop you getting across the line [either]," he told The AFP.
"It is really a very important discipline in the process of a bid to just simply focus on the messages."
Coe added: "You deliver those messages right to the moment where there is nowhere else to go and you maintain clear heads."
