Preity Zinta has revealed her excitement about this year's International Indian Film Awards.
The 35-year-old actress, who was previously the recipient of an IIFA award for her performance in Kal Ho Naa Ho, commented on the international importance of the event.
She said: "I am very excited to see the IIFA action shift to Toronto this year, which shares a close association with India."
The awards show, which is now in its 11th year, has before been staged in a range of locations including London, Dubai, Macau, Colombo and Yorkshire.
"I think IIFA is a very novel venture and has allowed our Indian Film Fraternity to expand its wings over the globe with IIFA's remarkable idea of taking the fraternity to different cities and countries each year," added the star.
The three-day-long IIFAs are scheduled to begin June 23.
