Upcoming romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu has received a unique form of marketing at major multiplexes across India.
Bollywood Hungama reports that two different postcards were handed out by the parents of both Tanu (played by Kangana Ranau) and Manu (R. Madhavan) featuring the dating stats of both characters.
Tanu's card reads: "Namaste ji, our daughter Kumari Tanuja Trivedi (Tanu) is a convent educated girl who is very polite, genuine, and down to earth with good family values. We are looking at a suitable match who is simple, adjusting and from a respectable family."
Manu's reads: "We are seeking a suitable alliance for our son Dr. Manoj Sharma (Manu), doctor settled in London. Self owned house, handsome, intelligent, family orientated and soft spoken. He has no vices. The girl should be sweet, simple and homely from a well respected family."
The parents also asked cinemagoers if they knew of a good alliance for their son/daughter.
Tanu Weds Manu is due out on February 25, 2011.
